It's very important to have the best cleaning products to maintenance your boat. Salt road grim are just dirty lakes we have your boat cleaning must haves.
Non-Toxic Cleaning Products
Cleaning products are necessary for dissolving and removing dirt, grime, allergens and germs. However, most cleaning products are not made to be directly released into our waterways. Ingredients in certain cleaners can damage fish tissues or persist in the environment and enter the food chain. Some products also contain phosphorous and nitrogen, which can put excess nutrients into the water causing algal blooms which can be harmful to coral reefs and coastal ecosystems. Instead, many cleaning products are created to go through wastewater treatment facilities, where the majority of contaminants and chemicals are removed before the water goes back into rivers, lakes and the ocean.
Here at Salty Boater all Products are 100% Non-Hazardous, Non-Toxic, 100% Biodegradable. Safe for all environments. Safe Clean water is very important to marine life. Regularly rinse your boat or boat parts with salty boater products. This can help reduce preventing the buildup of salt, mildew and grime in the first place.
BEST SALT REMOVER FOR BOATS
If you want to keep your boat in ship shape condition then you should invest in a dedicated boat cleaner product like Salty Boater™ Salt Remover. Salty Boater™ Salt Remover cleaning product are specially formulated to thoroughly clean your boat’s hull and other exposed sections to salt, without causing any damage, and removing potentially harmful dirt and debris at the same time.
Since boat hulls are exposed to salt and more seriously harsh elements and weather conditions, they’re always in need of a bit of TLC. Boat hulls have to endure constant contact with seawater, layers of oil and gasoline, and all manner of aquatic life that like to call a hull home. Having the right product that can cut through the grime will protect your boat and extend its lifespan.
BOAT WASH PRODUCTS
The Next Generation Technology Boat Wash Products, we have many products. Salty Boater™ is the go-to brand for almost all detailing supplies for any type of Boat. Salty Boater™ marine products are some of the best in the business, and if you’re looking for an inexpensive boat wash to get your boat looking its best, then this is for you.
This all-inclusive boat soap has been formulated to tackle dirt and grime without harming your fiberglass gel coat surfaces. Its pH neutral, which means that it won’t aggressively attack any of your boat’s gentler areas. It’s a non-streaking formula that gently cleanses away dirt, leaving your boat’s protective layers intact.
The result will leave your boat with a clean finish and a dazzling shine. It won’t harm your gel coat, and it will help to preserve your boat wax and keep your boat looking healthier, for longer. Salty Boater™ Boat Wash is available in a large 12 ounce bottle, which is more than enough to tackle larger boat bodies, and in an economical way too. This is one of the cheapest dedicated boat cleaners on the market, at a very respectable price point too.
The great thing about this Salty Boater™ boat soap is it’s biodegradable, meaning you can safely use it to clean your boat in the water without harming any marine life. Along with that, a little bit of this soap will go a long way. It only takes 3 cap fulls to clean a 25-foot boat.
The cost of buying a boat is one thing, the cost of maintaining it is quite another. Keeping your boat clean is an essential task and a key part of your regular maintenance routine. There’s no escaping it. To make matters worse, boats aren’t small, and they have a lot of big areas too clean. That’s why it’s important to use the best BOAT WASH PRODUCTS that you can, to take the edge off of an already labor-intensive task.
To make matters worse, boats are also constructed from a wide range of different materials, with each surface having different cleaning requirements to another. Your boat’s gel coat surfaces may require a different cleaning solution to the upholstery, metal areas will require different detergents to the fiberglass, et cetera, et cetera.
You’re going to need more than one type of cleaner in your arsenal, with a collection of different marine polishes and dedicated boat waxes too. No matter what type of boat you have, you’re going to need one type of base cleaner; an all ‘rounder that can cut through the bulk of the grime, across a wide range of surfaces, priming the job so that you can focus on specific areas with dedicated cleaners afterwards.
This kind of broad-match cleaner is what we’re looking at today. There are plenty available on the market, but to make sure you get the right cleaner for your boat, keep these important things in mind Salty Boater™
SOFT BOAT BRUSH
Salty Boater™ brush is for scrubbing any part of your boat with soap and water. It works great when combined with Salty Boater™ boat soap and deck cleaner.
The part I like most about this pole is that it’s so long that you don’t need a ladder to get to high spots on your boat. However, it does get a little wobbly. Another thing I like is that the bristles are soft enough not to scratch your boat but stiff enough to clean most dirt and grime easily.

SALT REMOVER FOR BOATS
Easy-to-use Salty Boater™ Salt Remover For Boats gets rid of salt deposits and leaves a PTEF protective coating.
Rinses away salt buildup while leaving a protective PTEF
Superior performance in key testing: The Humidity Cabinet Test (ASTM D 17 48) subjects metals to 100% humidity to simulate lengthly, harsh exposure found in the marine environment. Left untreated, metals will quickly show signs of surface corrosion.
We subjected an untreated metal panel, a metal panel treated with a leading competitor's salt-inhibiting product and a metal panel treated with Salty Boater™ Salt Remover to this test. The untreated panel showed severe corrosion over most of its surface. The competitor's panel showed signs of corrosion in numerous areas, while the panel treated with Salty Boater™ Salt Remover was virtually rust free.
- Rinses away salt buildup and leaves a protective PTEF® coating to prevent future salt damage
- Provides a durable polymer barrier to help prevent future deposits
- Use on fiberglass, aluminum, stainless steel, rubber, plastic, magnesium and paint
- Also can be used as a motor flush in I/O and outboard engines to help protect engines used in salt water
- Ideal for fishing tackle, dive gear, trailers and all other equipment exposed to salt
100% non-toxic biodegradable and non-hazardous. Used to remove SALT from larger objects such as cars boats personal watercraft sails machines towing vehicles trucks Trailers and transport vehicles.
As a fisherman, I use Salty Boater™ Salt Remover to wash the boat down, flush the engine and to clean my gear after every trip to saltwater. What I really like about this product is that it makes cleaning up after a hard day on the water so much easier.
So what is in this stuff? Well, that is a good question, according to the manufacturer, it is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable and environmentally safe. Other than that all I can tell you is that it works wonders when you are trying to remove saltwater crystals from anything.
The Bottom Line
- Yes, it works wonders.
- A small investment for your expensive fishing gear, boat, and motor.
- Makes quick work of cleaning your gear
Salty Boater Salt Remover is worth the investment, the two most popular sizes are 32 oz and Gallon.
SALTY BOATER REVIEW
Salty Boater™ uses a proprietary biodegradable blend to clean your fishing gear, boat or motor safely without using any harsh chemicals such as chemical solvents or those that contain petroleum.
We all know that after a long day of fishing in saltwater that there is ample buildup of salt residue on the rod and the reel. If we do not address this situation every time after fishing, we will notice that our gear begins to corrode and if left unchecked, it will destroy your equipment.
I used to just rinse my fishing gear with fresh water after I got back from a trip but I began to notice that I was still getting some corrosion particularly around the guides.
I like to buy good quality gear and then take care of it so that it will last me for many years.
APPLYING SALTY BOATER TO FISHING GEAR
After I get back from a day of fishing I simply put my rods in an upright rod holder like the SeaSense single piece 3 rod holder and then I spray the rods with a 2% solution of Salt boater™ Salt Remover mixed with water. I mix the solution in a spray bottle that I get from the dollar store.
When I apply the Salty Boater™ Salt Remover solution, I am careful to make sure that I cover the entire rod and I especially make sure that I soak the guides. I also spray the reel from all sides to make sure that it is evenly covered. After I have sprayed everything I let it sit for about 5 minutes to give the solution a chance to dissolve the salt that has built up.
After the Salty Boater™ Salt Remover for boats has had a chance to do its magic, I then spray the rods and reels down with a very fine mist spray. You can use a higher pressure spray if you want on the rod itself, but you want to be careful to not spray the reel with high pressure as you do not want to force any of the Salt Boater™ Salt Remover and saltwater solution into the interior of the reel where it will be hard to get out. The good news is that if it does get in there it should not break down any of the lubricants according to the manufacturer.
After I am done rinsing the rods and reels, I usually just let them air dry but if it is a higher end reel I sometimes will wipe it down with a dry cloth.

If you have made the investment in a boat that you use in saltwater you know how quickly things can begin to build-up residue and start corroding.
Here is what salt buildup looks like inside of an engine’s cooling system. It should be noted that this engine was flushed with fresh water after each trip in saltwater and there was still this much build-up.
After I get back from each trip with my boat in saltwater I make sure that I give the engine a good flush to eliminate any saltwater that has gotten into and on the engine. As you know water is circulated through the engine to cool it when it is running, so this means that when you are in saltwater you are actually running saltwater through your engine’s cooling system and this can lead to corrosion if you do not take care of it.
SALTY BOATER MIXING UNIT & SALT REMOVER FLUSH KIT
I have found that by flushing the engine using the Salty Boater™ Salt Remover mixing unit that I can nearly eliminate all of the saltwater build-up in my engine. The mixing unit can be purchased separately but it is much cheaper to purchase it as part of a kit when you buy your first bottle of Salty Boater™ Salt Remover.
32 oz. Salty Boater Salt Remover Concentrate and Mixing Unit
The mixing unit makes flushing the engine so simple. I just fill the unit up with 2 oz of Salty Boater™ Salt Remover and then attach it to my motors flushing adapter and turn the water on. I then let it run for about 15 minutes and I am done. The mixing unit blends the Salty Boater™ Salt Remover with the water at a 1:500 ratio.
There is no need to flush with fresh water as you can leave the Salty Boater™ solution in the engine until you go out next time. If your engine does not have a separate flushing adapter then you would just place the mixing unit between the hose and the muffs when getting ready to flush. ( We Recommend To Final Flush With Fresh Water. )
By using Salty Boater™ Salt Remover, I am confident that my cooling system is going to perform at its optimum and I run less of a chance fo having expensive engine repairs from overheating.
SALT REMOVER BOAT WASHING
The last thing I use Salty Boater™ Salt Remover for is to wash down the exterior of the engine and my boat. I have found that a quick rinse with Salty Boater™ Salt Remover does a much better job of getting any salt residue broken down and eliminated from my boat than just soap and water.
First, to rinse the boat I use the same mixing unit I used for flushing the engine and give the entire boat a quick once-over especially paying attention to the exterior of the outboard motor.
Then, just as with the fishing rods, I am careful to make sure that I do a very thorough job of spraying all of the stainless steel on the boat to assure that I am doing everything possible to eliminate the saltwater from taking its toll on my investment. I let all of this sit for about 5-10 minutes and then I give the entire boat a final rinse with fresh water.
I have found that doing this on a regular basis makes the boat keep its shine and I do not have any issues with corrosion on any of my stainless steel. Remember they call it Stain Less not Stain None.
Also, remember that if you trailer your boat to saltwater, that you will want to make sure to spray the trailer down with the Salty Boater™ Salt Remover mixing unit as well.
